Bad Sketches Happen

Too often when we are looking at Artist’s sketchbooks on the internet, it is easy to become discouraged by all the perfect sketches we see. To me these are a lie, they are chosen so that we only see the best they did not anything else. When I post sketchbook images on my instagram account, I do not edit them, the good the bad and the ugly go up (more uglies than I would like to admit but such is life). I want to make sure that others see that even good artists make bad art on occasion. It is all part of the process! So when bad art happens to you, do not fret. Take a moment and try to see what went wrong. If you have others in your circle who can give you a critique seek them out, learn from what they see is wrong and try and do better next time! Another important thing to remember, progress no matter how little or how slow, is still progress!
